Inappropriate?Ah, dude, you've found one of our bits of missing functionality. Remember, we're alpha :D
We'll eventually include this on the settings page as well as a link to it on the "hide this window" popup.
For now, please just send your username and the site you want back to [email protected] and I'll get you sorted ASAP.I’m Oy, it's been found so soon!

Inappropriate?Is there a way of modifying your list of hidden OTF bars? I think the ability to go back in and change your setting for sites would be fairly important.

Modifying Hidden OTF Bar List.I’m quizzical

Inappropriate?I would like the ability to bring up a hidden OTF bar by either right clicking on the page or clicking on the extension icon. This way I can share pages on sites which I have hidden the bar.

Right Click to Bring Up Hidden OTF Bar.I’m hopeful

yeah, I actually expected that clicking the OTF icon would bring that up but it didn't :)
-
Inappropriate?I think even better, why not make the bar auto hide like the Window's taskbar? When we need it, just mouse to the very bottom or left (like get satisfaction) of the page and it slides out.
I’m confident
-
We had that in an early version and pulled it because it's not a common UI pattern. People didn't know they couldn't do it and didn't like it when it unexpectedly happened. Additional problems with mac users who auto-hide their task tray.
That said, it was the first thing we tried, so I'm not surprised you jumped to that conclusion too. -
Inappropriate?The reason I hid the bar is because it is a bit in your face - especially for sites that I visit often.
I know that you guys must be proud of your bar, but I would prefer if it is hidden by default. A notification when I am the first visitor to a site or when I become the OTF is more than welcome though.
How about you add a pop-up menu to the little OTF button at the bottom right of the browser.
Stuff to put in the menu could be:
* Go to the OneTrueFan website (default at the moment)
* Settings
* Show OneTrueFan bar
* Hide OneTrueFan bar
You get the idea :)I’m excited

Inappropriate?I understand totally that you would prefer to hide the bar by default, but we cannot have autocheckin without visibly showing people their checkin status on every page and allowing them to check out.
We would rather have fewer people checking in more places than more people checking in fewer places. This might change in the future, but it's one of our guiding principals for now.
Hopefully, even if you don't personally agree with this you can understand why we came to this conclusion.I’m confident
-
Inappropriate?I think the problem is that when people first start to play, they are annoyed by the bar so they start hiding it on all pages. After a while they realize that they aren't checking-in to those pages. They then find out that you can't get the bar back and get very frustrated. Personally, the pages I hid are the ones that would be making me the most points
Until you have a solution for this, I would like to suggest that you warn people before they start hiding the bar.I’m frustrated
-
Now that's a suggestion I can get behind. We've already had a request for a confirmation box when hiding the bar on a domain permanently, adding a clarification that it means you won't earn any points would be super smart.
Thanks for the great idea. -
Inappropriate?How do you bring back the OTF toolbar when you accidentally hit "Hide"?

AJ -- I answered this at the very top, but the thread has gotten long so I'm not surprised that you missed the answer:

Inappropriate?I chose to hide the OneTrueFan bar on a few pages, but now I can't get it back. I chose to hide it always, but in my settings there's no option to turn that off. Am I missing something?
Also, does hiding the bar stop the points you can accrue on those sites?
