what happened to auto-hide?
I like the new interface, but I'm really missing the auto-hide feature.

Hey, amigo. When we had autohide as an option, people complained that they:
1) The popping up / popping down was distracting.
2) Having it appear only sometimes was distracting.
So we made a decision to test "always on" in this iteration. Nothing is final yet, but I would appreciate it if you used it for a couple of weeks and give me feedback then. Cool?

b. it's not the ability to turn it off, its the annoyance of seeing it on every page constantly

What do you think of the new "butterfly" technique, where it leaves the "Checked-in" and "Share" buttons in the center? Do things feel a bit less distracting? -
